GSO 2769:2024 Scope
This standard covers brand new household refrigerators, freezers, and refrigerator-freezers having a capacity of not more than 1,500 liters imported to or manufactured in GCC. This standard applies to electric mains-operated household refrigerating appliances, stand-alone or built-in configuration.
Refrigerating appliances intended for industrial or commercial use are outside the coverage of this standard. Refrigerating appliances intended for refrigeration of items other than foodstuff are not included in this standard.
Appliances falling under the scope of this standard which are manufactured for a member state with an existing national regulation, shall follow the national regulation only. For example, appliances for Saudi Arabia market shall follow the Saudi standard SASO 2892.
