GSO 550:2022 Scope
1.1 This Gulf Standard specifies a method of determining penetration of semi-solid and solid bituminous materials.
1.2 The needles, containers, and other conditions described in this test method provide for the determinations of penetrations up to 500.
NOTE (1): See the section on Penetration of Test Methods (ASTM D244) for information and precision and bias on testing emulsion residue.
