This International Standard specifies requirements and test methods for non medicated absorbent points used in endodontic procedures. The requirements apply to absorbent points which have been sterilized once in a manner approved by the manufacturer. Dental absorbent points include standard points and taper size points. This International Standard does not specify requirements or test methods for sterility and/or freedom from biological hazard of dental absorbent points.
