This International Standard specifies a 1,10-phenanthroline photometric method for the determination of the iron content of aluminium oxide primarily used for the production of aluminium. The method is applicable to products having an iron content, expressed as iron(III) oxide, equal to or greater than 0,005 % (m/m).
