GSO 1211:2010 Scope

1.1 This Gulf standard is concerned with the requirements to be met in CL lubricating oils. 1.2 CL lubricating oils are used in circulating lubrication systems in cases where a higher resistance to aging or a higher degree of corrosion protection than for C lubricating oils as specified in GSO standard (item 2.9). 1.3 CL lubricating oils should be used for application where water – induced corrosion is to be expected and in the case where high thermal stresses would result in an unduly short service life if C lubricating oils were used.
