This standard deals with integrating-averaging sound level meters, i.e. instruments for the measurement of frequency-weighted and time-averaged sound pressure levels. These instruments may also measure sound exposure levels but this Standard does not apply to personal sound exposure meters. The standard contains an appropriate test scheme for pattern evaluation and verification and a test report format for pattern evaluation.
