GSO 191:1994 Scope
This standard is concerned with the steel wire ropes most commonly used for general purposes, with nominal diameters up to 60 mm. It is not concerned with steel wire ropes used for lifting purposes in electric lifts, mines, deep drilling equipment or other special purposes.
