GSO 1161:2002 Scope
1.1 This Gulf standard establishes the minimum requirements of HLP hydraulic oils.
1.2 It applies for HLP hydraulic oils for predominantly hydrostatic fluid power systems, where high thermal stresses arise and where corrosion is to be expected as a result of the ingress of water and / or where pumps of hydraulic motors require oils with anti - wear additions.
1.3 HLP hydraulic oils may also be used in hydrodynamic fluid power systems, provided that they meet the requirements of these systems.
