This standard deals with instruments (hereafter referred to as vibration measuring instruments) designed for the measurement of time- and frequency-weighted accelerations of sinusoidal and stochastic vibrations, for assessing vibrations as perceived by human beings. The standard specifies the metrological and technical requirements for vibration-measuring instruments that are submitted to the control of Legal Metrology Services, the requirements relating to the technical documents accompanying vibration-measuring instruments, and the methods to be used for pattern evaluation and verification.
