This document establishes

—     the operation categories,

—     the design categories;

—     the fire safety objectives, and

—     the general requirements

for fire protection measures.

This document applies only to railway vehicles defined in ISO 25711.

Freight transportation vehicles are not covered by the ISO 9828 series.
