GSO 549:2023 Scope
This standard is concerned with the standard methods that apply to procedures for obtaining representative samples of asphalt materials whether in liquid, semi-liquid or solid form. Sampling may be carried out at manufacture, distribution or storage sites. Sampling shall be carried out by the methods mentioned later for the purpose of representing a medium quantity of a certain volume of the materials from which sampling is to be made. This is in order to determine, as far as possible, the maximum possible change that can occur on the material properties.
Note (1): This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
