OS GSO 2446:2014 Scope
This Gulf standard specifies two types of ready-mixed aluminum priming paint for brush application to woodwork, as follows.
a) Type 1: Not recommended for woods treated with metallic naphthenate preservatives, nor where maximum resistance is required.
b) Type 2: Recommended where the type 1 material is not suitable, and particularly suitable for the painting of naturally resinous woods or timber which may exude resin-like matter arising from treatment with copper naphthenate or similar wood preserving solutions.
Neither type is suitable for use over timber preserved with tar-oil products .
